Industrial Ball Valves
Valtek
Valves Company is leading Manufacturers, Suppliers, Providers, Traders, Dealers, Authorized Distributors, Distributors of Industrial Ball Valves. A rotating motion valve that uses a ball-shaped
disc to stop or start fluid flow is known as an industrial ball valve. The ball
in the globe valve serves the same purpose as the disc. The ball spins to a
point where the hole through the ball is in line with the valve body intake and
outlet when the valve handle is turned to open the valve. The ball is rotated
so that the hole is perpendicular to the flow apertures of the valve body when
the valve is closed, and the flow is halted. The majority of ball valve
actuators are quick-acting, requiring a 90° turn of the valve handle to
activate. Planetary gears are used to operate other ball valve actuators.
Balls are commonly made of metal with elastomeric
(elastic materials that resemble rubber) trim (seats). There is also a plastic
construction option. Elastomeric material is used to make the robust seats for
ball valves. Teflon (TFE), filled TFE, nylon, Buna-N, Neoprene, and mixtures of
these materials are the most frequently used seat materials. These valves
cannot be utilised at high temperatures due to the elastomeric materials. The seat material must be chosen with care to
guarantee that it is compatible with the materials handled by the valve.
